Monday, December 8, 2014 Tornillo High School conducted their first Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Information workshop for all senior parents. Dr. Meza-Chavez welcomed all parents and senior students.  Mrs. Angie Morales, school counselor provided a presentation with information of the benefits and other loan options for students who complete the FAFSA.  Through FAFSA information nights, Tornillo High School is committed to  helping our seniors and their parents understand the process of college financial aid by providing parents with opportunities to have their questions answered. Our next scheduled meeting will be on February 4, 2015 at 4:30 p.m.  at Tornillo High School. Financial Aid experts will be available to assist parents and students submit the FAFSA online.

To ensure a successful online FAFSA submission, please bring the following: 

  • Your Federal Student Aid PIN or FSA ID (to obtain your PIN go to
  • Student’s/Parent’s 2014 W-2 and Federal Income Tax Forms (1040, 1040A or 1040 EZ)
  • 2014 untaxed income (social security, disability, workman's comp, etc.)
  • Driver’s license or state ID
  • Social Security number, Alien Registration number, date of birth for student, spouse and/or parents
